Additional borrowing is only available after a minimum of six full consecutive monthly payments have been made.

	Product Withdrawal - 1 May 2008			View article

We are launching new Buy to Let and Self Cert products together with certain criteria changes with effect from 1st May 2008.

In addition, all Full Status Prime, Very Near Prime and Extra Light products will be withdrawn and replaced with effect from 1st May 2008.

All Standard Variable Rates for new and existing customers are reducing by 0.25%, following the Bank of England Base Rate change in April.

We have recently been experiencing unprecedented demand for our products. However, as a prudent institution we have to control the volume of business we are writing at any given time, and therefore we have taken the decision to discriminate further in favour of lower risk business.

As a result all current products will be withdrawn from business on Thursday 20th March 2008.

Access to iSite will also be removed until Wednesday 26th March 2008.

First Time Landlords not accepted (applicants must currently hold and have held a BTL property for 6 months)
Earned Income Products - personal income element is assessed on a full status basis and requires a minimum income of £25,000 (sole or joint)
Maximum Loan per property £350k
With effect from 26 March 2008 aggregate loans per applicant in excess of £1m will be assessed on a case by case basis (N.B. portfolios held with UCB prior to this date are not affected.)

Self Cert Criteria effective from Wednesday 26th March 2008:

UCB is making a number of changes to its product range with effect from Tuesday 18 March 2008. Full details of the new products that are being launched and those which are being permanently withdrawn are listed below.

The rates on all other existing Buy to Let and Self-Cert products will be increased with effect from Tuesday 18 March 2008 when the updated product guide will be available to download from the UCB Home Loans web site.

The Rental Cover calculation will also change to 110% at BBR + 0.75% with effect from Tuesday 18 March 2008.

Following the Bank of England base rate change announced on 7 February 2008 we will be reducing all variable and tracker products by 0.25% with effect from 1 March 2008.
